During a work trip to New Jersey, our founder: an aerospace engineer, realized he had forgotten his tongue scraper while brushing his teeth in his hotel room. Skipping tongue cleaning felt surprisingly incomplete, so he set out to buy one.

To his surprise, no nearby medical or department store seemed to carry a tongue scraper.

That moment sparked a question: Why isn’t tongue scraping a standard part of oral care?
And more importantly: Why should it be something you can forget?

Back home, he shared the experience with his wife, a marketer. Together, they identified a simple yet powerful gap: Oral care was fragmented. Achieving a complete routine meant carrying multiple tools—an unnecessary inconvenience in an otherwise essential daily habit.

With the support of friends and family, they began designing a single, seamless solution: A thoughtfully engineered tool that combined brushing and tongue cleaning into one.

That idea became Tokii.
